  2. Sometimes I think it must have been terrifying to be pregnant in those days... so many deaths of new babies, and of the mothers. This headstone touches one's heart as the carver's intent rings true.

  3. I've never seen a headstone like this one before. So touching, and as a woman reminds me that I am glad to live in "these times", as much as I love the past.
